Easy Guide to Measuring & More

We believe finding your true size shouldn’t be guesswork—so we’ve made it as easy as 1-2-3.

  1. Follow our How to Measure Your Body steps and jot down your measurements
  2. Find your measurements on our size chart
  3. Order with confidence!

What if I fall between sizes?
It’s quite common to have your bust one size, such as size 14, and your waist and hips another size, such as 16. If you’re ordering separates, this is no problem. However, if you’re ordering a skirt or pant set, or a dress or swimsuit, you’ll want to order the larger size. In the above instance, you’d order a size 16, or a large.

What if I’m still not sure?
Our tailored clothes are constructed with “allowances”, to give you a flattering fit that’s not too tight, so you can move comfortably and easily. For example, your bust measures 38”; you would order either a size 14 or a medium. The actual bust measurement for this top is 42 ½”. So you’ll have about 4 ½” inches of ease for a very comfortable fit. Finally, our helpful Order Representatives are always glad to assist you in finding your Perfect Fit.

How to Measure Your Body
While it may be easier to have a friend help you measure, you can do it yourself, too. Make sure you’re wearing comfortable undergarments and stand straight with your feet flat on the floor with your arms at your sides. When you measure, pull the tape comfortably snug but not tight.

Bust:
Measure over a comfortable, great-fitting bra. Wrap a measuring tape around your body at the fullest part of your bust. Be sure your arms are at your sides, the tape is flat against your body and parallel to the floor.

Waist:
Stand with your feet hip-width apart and bend sideways—where you indent is your natural waist. Wrap the tape around your body at the natural waistline. The tape should be flat against your body and parallel to the floor.

Hips:
Wrap a measuring tape around your body at the fullest part of your bottom. Be sure the tape is flat against your body and parallel to the floor.

Inseam:
Stand straight with your feet approximately 6” apart. Measure on the inside of your leg, from your crotch to the floor.

While not on our size charts, the rise is also a very important measurement when purchasing pants. If this is an area of concern, please call and speak with one of our helpful Order Representatives who can assist you with this measurement. Here’s how to measure your rise:

Rise:
Start the tape at your natural waist in the back; bring the tape through your legs, stopping at your natural waist in the front. Tighten or loosen the tape so it is comfortable in your crotch area and is situated the way you like the rise of slacks to feel.

How to measure for a perfect fitting bra:
Wearing a bra that fits perfectly is a must: your clothes will look and fit much better, and you’ll be much more comfortable. Yet, finding a great fitting bra is not always easy. Fortunately, our two simple steps make finding that perfect bra easier than ever.

  1. To determine your bra size:
Wrap a tape measure above your bust (it should be snug but not tight). This is your bra size. Round uneven numbers up to the nearest whole number.
  2. To determine your cup size:
Take a loose measurement around the fullest part of your bust. Subtract your bra size measurement from this number. If the number is:

1” more, you are an “A” cup
    2” more, you are a “B” cup
    3” more, you are a “C” cup
    4” more, you are a “D” cup
5” more, you are a “DD” cup
6” more, you are a “F” or “DDD” cup
7” more, you are a “G” or “DDDD” cup
8” more, you are a “H” or “DDDDD” cup

Example: you measure 36” above your bust, and 39” at the fullest part of your bust. This is a 3” difference, a “C” cup. You would order a size 36 C bra. To determine correct size for a body briefer or a body suit with panty legs, take the same measurements that you would to determine your proper bra size.
